Transform toilet roll tubes into a magical winter forest! This simple, eco-friendly craft is perfect for kids and uses materials you already have at home.
What You’ll Need:
- Toilet roll tubes
- Scissors and glue
- Cardboard (for the base)
- Winter-themed wooden animal toys
- Paper, markers, glitter (optional)
Instructions:
1. Make the Trees:
Carefully cut toilet roll tubes into 1cm strips to make the trees.
2. Assemble the Trees:
Fold each strip in half to create v shapes. Glue each strip onto a card base, ideally with a glue gun and adult supervision.
3. Add Decorations:
Wrap your tree trunk in decorative washi tape and add a gold star to your tree!
4. Set the Scene:
Arrange the trees and place wooden animal toys among them. Add cotton or tissue for snow. We added snowy mountain tops to our scene and a paper tree garland. Sugar paper is perfect for this and easy for children to cut and craft from adding a variety of colours too.
